Supplier Code of Conduct
Introduction
At Ladage Bonton, we are dedicated to maintaining excellence not only in our products but also in the ethical and sustainable practices of our supply chain. This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the minimum standards that we expect from all our suppliers. We believe in fostering collaborative partnerships that promote responsible sourcing and align with our core values of sustainability and excellence. Our commitment to working with small and medium-sized businesses within the UK and EU supports local economies and significantly reduces our environmental impact, reinforcing our brand’s ethics and sustainability.
Legal Compliance
Suppliers must operate in full compliance with the laws, regulations, and standards of the countries in which they operate. This includes but is not limited to local, national, and international legal frameworks.
Forced Labor and Child Labor
Ladage Bonton maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards forced labor, child labor, and any other forms of exploitation. The use of forced or child labor is not permitted under any circumstances. We are committed to exceeding local standards for child labor protection and working hours by adhering to the highest international standards. All workers within our supply chain must be a minimum of 18 years of age, or 16-17 years old if participating in a legally authorized school apprenticeship or work experience program.
We also have a zero-tolerance policy for illegal or undocumented work. All labor practices must adhere to both local and international labor laws. Suppliers must ensure that workers are treated fairly and humanely and are compensated for any overtime or additional work beyond the legally stipulated working hours. The maximum working hours, including overtime, must not exceed 60 hours per week.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment
Suppliers are required to provide a safe and healthy working environment to prevent accidents and injuries. Working conditions should comply with international safety standards and any applicable local regulations. At Ladage Bonton, we are committed to environmental sustainability, and we expect our suppliers to uphold these values in their practices.
Business Ethics
Suppliers must conduct their business with integrity and adhere to the highest ethical standards. Corruption, extortion, embezzlement, and any form of unethical business practice are strictly prohibited.
Respect for Human Rights
Suppliers are expected to respect and support the protection of internationally recognized human rights and ensure that they are not complicit in any human rights abuses.
Non-Discrimination
Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable. Suppliers must ensure that all employees are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, disability, pregnancy, religion, political views, union affiliation, or social status.
Working Hours and Pay
Suppliers must comply with local regulations regarding working hours and ensure that workers are paid at least the legal minimum wage or the standard market wage for the work performed.
Freedom of Association
Suppliers must respect the right of workers to form or join unions and engage in collective bargaining, in accordance with international labor standards.
Transparency
Suppliers must operate with transparency and provide full cooperation with Ladage Bonton or its representatives during audits and inspections. We require transparency in operations, supply chain practices, and documentation to ensure compliance with this code.
Ladage Bonton values the partnership and collaboration with our suppliers and expects adherence to the standards set forth in this code. Together, we strive to create a sustainable, ethical, and high-quality supply chain.
